With reference to my Despatch
No. 130 of the 15th. ultimo in which I informed you that
I had granted a pension to Mr. Bruce Shepherd, I have now
the honour to recommend the appointment of Mr. G. H.
Wakeman, Assistant Land Officer, to succeed him.
Mr. Wakeman, whose selection for
the appointment of Assistant Land Officer was communicated

1900, is a trained and experienced Officer who is thorough-
-ly competent to fill the post of Land Officer and Official
Receiver in Bankruptcy. I enclose his application for the
appointment.
