Referring to paragraph 7 of my
Despatch No. 363 of the 7th. of October last, I have now
the honour to transmit the enclosed copy of a Memorandum
by the Director of Public Works, with statement of areas
and assessment of the properties involved and a plan,
describing a new scheme of resumption of insanitary proper.
-ty which, with the advice of the Sanitary Board and of
the Public Works Committee, I have decided to undertake
during the current year, and accordingly submit for your
covering authority.

I anticipate that the available
balance of the sum of $150,000 voted on the Estimates for
the year will suffice to cover the cost of as much of the
resumption of this property as it will be possible to ef-
-fect
