Referring to Lord Onslow's Des-
-patch No. 86 of the 12th. March, 1903, on the subject of
the recognition of the Chinese College of Medicine under
Section 11 Part II of the Medical Act, 1886, I have the
honour to inform you that the authorities of the College
have now approached this Government with a view to the re-
-moval of the disadvantages, which as pointed out in Sir
Henry Blake's Despatch No. 49 of the 24th. January, 1903,
at present render it impossible for them to apply for the
inclusion of their College in the list of Colonial Teaching
Institutions recognised by the General Medical Council of
the United Kingdom.
2.
The Authorities of the College
consider that in the course of the next few years they
will be able to raise sufficient funds to erect buildings
suitable for their requirements as a Teaching Body,
and
