✔ have the honour to report for your information that the British stramer" Jung Chair" visited this port at the commencement of Dicember lark in circumstances which gave ris£ to some suspicion but were not held to justify any action aganist her under the Forcigh Enlistment Act. On ha returu here, however, from Shanghai on the 12th instant the Harbour Master Elicited certain facts from her master, with regard to the carriage of ammunition by this vessel, which he set before ine in the report of which a copy is annex♡

Orduance 1900 (sections 17, 18 and 29) by which the ammunition can be forfeited, and the master who has neglected it can be punished; and the Military Stores Ordinance 1862 (section 2) by which the ammunition is also liable to forfeiture"!
