In accordance with the request contained

in your Despatch No. 341 of the 2nd. ultimo, I have the honour

to transmit two copies, with plans attached, of a fresh Memo-

randum of Transfer of Sai Kung Marine Lot which has been duly

executed and exchanged by Commodore C. G. Dicken, R.N., and

myself.

You will observe that the Memorandum con-

tains a proviso for the removal by the Admiralty of certain

buildings and other property in the event of the land revert-

ing to the Colonial Government.

I was advised that buildings of stone and

stone itself should be excepted from the proviso and that the stipulation contained in paragraph 7 of the Admiralty Letter of the 21st. July, 1904, regarding the removal of Targets etc., from the Kowloon Range was not appropriate for insertion in the Memorandum With regard to the latter point I have, however, informed Commodore Dicken in writing that there is no objec-
