With reference to my despatch No. 13, of the 18th August last to His Majesty's Minister, copy of which has been forwarded to Your Lordship, I have received instructions from His Majesty's Minister to transmit direct to the Foreign Office copy of the Articles of Association of the Swatow, Chaoyang, Kityang Steamlaunch Company, and to report to Your Lordship any information I could obtain as to the character of the Company's Office in Hong Kong.
In accordance with these instructions I now have the honour to enclose a copy of the Articles of Association referred to.
I understand that the Offices of the Steamlaunch Company in Hong Kong are situated in the same premises as Messrs. Jardine, Matheson, and Company's General
