WITH reference to my despatch No. 309 of the 24th ultimo, in which I reported that, by arrangement with the Chinese authorities, officers of the Imperial Maritime Customs were about to visit Ch'en-ts'un and Fatshan to make the necessary dispositions for the handing over of those two native customs stations, I have now the honour to inform your Lordship that I have received a telegram from the Acting British Consul-General at Canton, reporting that on the 10th instant these two stations were duly handed over to the control of the Imperial Maritime Customs.
I have, &c.
