With reference to your letter 33131/1904 of the 30th ultimo on the subject of Chinese emigration from Hong Kong to Peru, I am directed by the Marquess of Lansdowne to state, for the information of Secretary of State for the Colonies, that he sees no objection to action being taken by the Governor as proposed in paragraph 7 of his despatch of the 19th of August under the conditions set forth.
