The Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs presents his compliments to the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, and is directed by Marquess of Lansdowne to transmit to him three printed copies of the papers asked for in paragraph 4 of Colonial Office letter of the 25th instant, on the subject of the treatment of the officers
