The undersigned C.W.Campbell, His Britannic Majesty's Acting Consul General at Canton, on behalf of and with the consent of the Hongkong Government; and the Taot'ai Wen Tsung-yao, Foreign Secretary to His Excellency the Viceroy of the Two Kwang Provinces, on behalf of and with the consent of the Viceroy, have agreed upon the following conditions in settlement of the Hung case.
1. Removal of Admiral Ho from Office (This is to be obtained by a memorial to the Throne by the Viceroy.
2. All the minor officials who received rewards, or are otherwise found guilty of connivance in this case, are to be impeached by the Viceroy in a memorial to the Throne and cashiered.
3. The murderer Chang Tso-t'ing to be executed; an officer from His Majesty's Consulate General to witness the execution.
4. A letter to be sent by the Viceroy to the Hongkong Government through His Majesty's Consul General at Canton, conveying an apology for the infringement
