Sir:-

With reference to my letter of the 31st ultimo, No. 10541, I am directed by the Commissioners of Customs to state that it is now reported by their Collector at Cardiff that the "Ohio" cleared for Hong Kong and sailed on the evening of that day. The Collector further reports that the Vessel was an old cattle boat and in a filthy condition and that she was not in any way fitted out for warlike purposes.
