THE Under-Secretary of State for India presents his compliments to the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and, by direction of Mr. Secretary Brodrick, forwards herewith, for the information of the Secretary of State, paraphrase of a telegram to the Viceroy, dated the 9th instant, relative to the Burmah-China frontier.

Any evidence which you can obtain supplementary to that contained in the letter from the Government of Burmah of the 3rd May, 1900, with special reference to the claims based by the Chinese upon their alleged administration of the country, should be sent to His Majesty's Minister at Peking (see his despatch of the 5th December last, No. 415, paragraph 5.)
