Foreign Office, December 9, 1903.

I AM directed by the Marquess of Lansdowne to transmit to you herewith, to be laid before the Secretary of State for India, copy of a telegram from His Majesty's Minister at Peking,* respecting the portion of the Burmah-Yunnan frontier between the Naun-ting and Nam-ka Rivers.

So far as Lord Lansdowne is aware, only one map is attached to the Burmah Convention of 1894. Photographed copies of that map, in accordance with Sir E. Satow's desire, will be sent to him on the 18th instant, together with instructions in the sense recommended in your letter of the 18th ultimo.
