Rc 1 SEP 04:

Sir,

In reply to your communication of the 16th of August requesting this Association to recommend a suitable candidate for a vacancy arising under the Government Civil Medical Department, Hong Kong, at the Victoria Hospital for Women and Children, I am directed to forward to you the application of Miss A.R. Allaway.

Miss Allaway has had special training at the Children's Hospital, Bradford, and has since occupied a responsible post in a Hospital for Women. The Committee therefore consider her specially qualified for the appointment of nurse in the Victoria Hospital.

They regret that they have been unable to find a candidate with a knowledge of Dispensing for this post but Miss Allaway has the usual professional knowledge of prescriptions and drugs.

I am,

Sir,

Your obedient servant,

Carolind A. Hulbon.

Hon Secretary.

Private Secretary to

Under Secretary of State.
