10th instant, on the subject of the proposed exchange of
lands at Hong Kong, I am commanded by the Army Council to
acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary of
State for the Colonies, that they assent to the proposal
that a further conference should be held on this subject.
Representatives of the War Office will be nominated in
due course, and in the meantime it is presumed that the
Colonial Office will approach the Treasury with a view to
that Department being also represented, as before.
