I am directed by Mr Sec L to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 20th inst with regard to the amount of your pension.

Your letters to the C.A. of the 15th and 16th inst on the same subject have also been communicated to this department.

2. In reply, I am to inform you that in accordance with the terms of the letter from this department of the 18th of May, you have been granted the full pension to which your length of service entitled you, the usual allowances being made for climate and for professional qualifications.

3. It appears from your letters to the C.A. that you consider that you have not been given credit for the full amount of your service in Mauritius.

I am accordingly to forward to you the enclosed copy of a minute by the Auditor General of that Colony, covering the usual paper of particulars. On the data given in this minute, your pension from Mauritius appears to have been correctly calculated and I am to enquire whether you wish to query any of the statements made by Mr Dick or the dates which he gives.
