Mr Kyshe to Crown Agents.
19th September, 1904.
Gentlemen,
With further reference to my letter of the 14th instant relative to the rates of the pensions granted to me, I have the honour (having regard to my circumstances and the great loss which I would incur by the miscalculation of the said pensions) to request that you will be so kind as to look up my leave papers from Mauritius in 1879 and which must contain the necessary information as to the date I joined the service in Mauritius.
2. My leave was granted me by the Executive Council of Mauritius under its old Constitution, not a single member of which I believe is now alive, and those members who are now in the Executive Council were either very junior officers or not in the service at all, which may explain the enormous discrepancy pointed out as regards the whole pension taken together.
I have &c.
(Sd) J. W. Norton Kyshe.
