This is the letter referred to in my minute on
Paragraph 1 contains a misstatement. We told him in letter on
17218 that he would have the pension to which his service
entitled him and that is what he has been granted.
Paras 2 etc. I am afraid he has some case, as in his leave
paper in 6745/79, they date his service from '71 but I don't
think we are bound by that and, if figures in 29862 are
correct, his service was broken
Para 7. It doesn't affect his pension from Hongkong
by Straits.
Para 6. His belief is incorrect. The change was made before
he became Sheriff.
9 Ack 32773 and say that the C.A. have referred this letter to us: that he has been given, as promised in
our letter on 17218, the pension to which his service entitled him.
