With reference to previous correspondence I enclose for your information a copy of a letter which we have received from the Colonial Office forwarding a despatch and its enclosures in original from the Officer Administering the Government of Hong Kong respecting the proposed increase of the length of the catchwater for the Kowloon Water Works and of the capacity of the storage reservoir.
2. I have to request that you will report to us at the earliest possible date in the manner desired in the second paragraph of the Colonial Office letter.
