be no longer required for occupation for Naval purposes.

My Lords would, however, prefer that the Memorandum of Transfer, which is returned herewith, should be amended so far as Clauses (1) and (2) thereof are concerned to permit the use of the land for Naval or Military purposes.

5. In regard to Clause (3) of the Memorandum, My Lords think this might be eliminated as was done in the case of a Crown Grant for land in British Columbia, (please see your letter of the 21st June 1900, No: 18682).

6. In the event of the Admiralty relinquishing possession of the land in the future, My Lords would be glad to have the right to remove such buildings etc., as may be erected if required.

7. In regard to the Admiralty property on the Range at Kowloon, it is proposed to remove such Target Frames and other fittings as are likely to be of use, and it is assumed that there will be no objection to this being done.

8. My Lords will be glad to learn that Admiralty requirements as indicated above can be agreed to.

I am,

Sir,

Your obedient Servant,

Evan Macgregor
