The Crown Agents have telegraphed that $850,000 Silver and $25,000 Copper has been shipped during the current month and it is hoped that the outstanding balance of $1,000,000 Silver and $25,000 Copper may reach the Colony in the early part of next year.
The net result of this non-arrival of Subsidiary Coin is that the Colony instead of drawing 27 on a credit balance, which is estimated at $769,000 on the 23rd ultimo had the coin arrived, has had to pay 41⁄2% on a debit balance which on the same date was $631,000.
