Having received your instructions to acquaint Messrs. Deacon Looker & Deacon first before I handed Murray his effects, I informed them that the effects belonging to Murray would be delivered to him.
With reference to the concluding paragraph of Murray's letter, I beg to state that this is the first time that a charge of such a description has been brought against me in my 36 1/2 years' service.
