I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated 27th October, 1904, enclosing the proceedings of a Meeting held by you for the purpose of laying down definite arrangements on the subject of Hospital Accommodation at Hongkong in war, on the lines recommended in Colonial Defence Committee Memorandum No. 828/1 dated 2nd August, 1904.

I concur in the arrangements indicated in these proceedings for the disposal of Military and Civil sick and wounded, and in the action proposed for the Military and Civil Departments respectively; and these arrangements will be embodied in the next revision of the Defence Scheme.

The Proceedings of the meeting and Colonial Defence Committee Memorandum No. 828/1 are returned as requested.
