Hongkong, 18th October, 1904.
Sir,
You
I have the honour to call your attention to the fact that no reply has been received in this Colony to Mr. May's telegram of the 22nd June and Despatch No. 276 of the 4th July accepting for the boundary between War Department Property and the proposed East Praya Reclamation that submitted in War Office letter Hongkong/8/175 of the 14th May, 1904, enclosed in your Despatch No. 160, dated the 20th May, 1904, subject to the batter of the rubble slope of the Eastern Praya Reclamation between the coping level and toe of the slope projecting beyond this boundary.
2. I assume that this modification to the War Office proposal has been accepted but as it would be well to have this definitely on record I have the honour to enclose for the formal acceptance by the War Department a plan showing this modification.
3. You will observe that the green dotted line on this plan corresponds to that on the enlarged plan 'z' which accompanied the War Office letter above referred to but that the batter of the wall of the Eastern Praya Reclamation to the North of the War Department Reclamation is to the West
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
