that the Judgment of the Land Court was final and conclusive (as it would have been had not Ordinance No.13 of 1903 been passed with a retrospective effect) but also relying on the positive assurance of the Colonial Secretary that the Crown Lease would be issued, satisfactory and reasonable compensation might fairly be awarded to them, and we accordingly lay before you on their behalf a request that the matter may be enquired into and a reasonable sum for compensation may be directed to be paid to them.
