528 was sent to you with regard to the commutation of the Crown Rent for Kowloon Marine Lot No. 36, but I find that on the 12th January, 1903, the Governor wrote to the Commodore that this rent might be capitalised, that it would when capitalised amount to a sum of $12,650 and that the Colonial Treasurer had been authorised to receive that amount. The case was treated as on all fours with that of the adjoining Kowloon Marine Lot No. 35 and for the reasons already given the Admiralty's tenure should be recognised as freehold.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient
Humble servant,
Governor, &c.
