此執照之人若在中國地方不得藉口在香港誕生自發給此執照之日起計曾經在港一連居住三年之久者其父母均屬華籍後所遇者方可現奉督憲批準此執照並上附本人映相一張與大英國家保護除經在最近之英國領事官衙門註册者不在此論惟須該保護之事必在注册之後
收嗣後如有前往外國須遵依國家與該國經訂約章所有註册領護照一槪皆要恪守持日為朝廷議院所定章程至於該處領事官隨時另立規條仍須一律奉行毋得稍有違犯務宜畢生自
日發給

in this Colony of Chinese parents, who were resident in this Colony at the time of the cession thereof to Her late Majesty Queen VICTORIA.
NOTE: This Certificate does not free the said, whilst in Foreign countries, from compliance with the provisions of the Treaties between Great Britain and the Country wherein the said may be, and of any Orders in Council, and of any Consular or other Regulations for the time being in force in relation to registration and passports.
