Referring to your telegram of 22nd June, Gaol site possible elsewhere but less advantageous. Stonequarry site adopted on recommendation of Public Works Committee of Legislative Council. Estimates vote passed accordingly. Any change therefore must be referred to Committee. If negotiations are proceeding, Kings Park and other exchanges urge Chatham. Director of Public Works represent Colony.
