C.O.
My dear Lucas,
Government House.
19 June 1904
I am much obliged for your letter of the 14th ultimo regarding the Peak Reservation and Benishment Amendment Ordinances.
My despatches regarding them will have removed certain misapprehensions under which Mr H. Blake evidently laboured when he wrote to you.
One cannot plead sanitary reasons for the former Ordinance, for there is no danger of the houses being built on the Mountain like the Peak.
