that you should no longer hold it may be sig-

nified through the Secretary of State, in

which case no special formalities are required

If you are prepared to accept the

appointment, you should present yourself to

one of the Medical Advisers of this Department,

whose names are given on the enclosed letter,

for the purpose of being medically examined.

The letter is to be left with him; and you

will be required to pay him a fee of one

guinea. He will send his report direct to

this Department.

6.

If finally selected for appointment,

you will be provided with a free passage to

the Colony, on your signing the usual agree-

ment with the Crown Agents for the Colonies,

Whitehall Gardens, S.W., by which you will

be bound to repay to the Colonial Government

the cost of your passage in the event of your

relinquishing
