With reference to my Despatches Nos. 46 of the 5th ultimo and 108 of the 12th instant,
I have the honour to inform you that as the Director of Public Works was unable to certify that Mr. King has performed his duties to his entire satisfaction, it was advised by the Executive Council on the 21st instant that in the event of Mr. King being retired from the Service at the end of his four months' vacation leave he should be granted a pension subject to a reduction of 5%. I transmit his Pension Paper herewith.
