I kept this paper till I could ascertain from W.O what was the meaning of the part marked A.
I find that the matter is connected with a proposed exchange of a certain site in the Colony which has been under consideration for many months past & is likely to be under consideration for many months to come.
The present intention of the W.O. is that whatever is done shall be done at the expense of Admy. It is therefore unlikely, though this is not quite certain, that the W.O will ask for a contribution.
