With reference to our Letter of 31st May and your letter of June 12th to us
5 off your letter 1910 of July 30th to Messrs Shewan, Tomes & Co., yes we now beg to submit to you the Plan shewing Details of
Permanent Way Construction modified in accordance with your wishes and beg to ask for your formal approval at your early convenience as our home friends are awaiting telegraphic information.
With reference to the concrete for surface, we wish to point out that
the composition creates an exceedingly strong concrete and therefore of considerable cost and we would ask
that this concrete (6 to 1)
be used only for say the top thickness of 3", the remaining 3' being
stone, which in itself is a mixture of very strong concrete.
