My client Mr Percy Thomas Crisp now of 25 Battledean Road Ronalds Road Highbury N. but formerly of 164 Hanley Road

Stroud Green N. and until the 30th. of April last was residing

in Hong Kong when his engagement as a Building Overseer in the

Public Works Department of Hong Kong under an agreement with the Crown Agent for that Colony was determined has consulted me as

to his claim on the Government for the sum of 350 dollars refund-

ed by him under protest on the 21st. June 1901 for the passage

of his wife and child from England to Hong Kong and also for the

like amount for their return to England

He informs me that in March 1901 having discovered

under rule 153 of the Colonial Office Regulations he was entitled

to have the passage of his wife and child as well as his own paid

by the Crown Agent for the Colonies (which he had paid)

applied to the Government of Hong Kong to be repaid and shortly

after the application he received 350 dollars to cover the costs

thereof
