I have the honour to inform you
that I received a letter from the Colonial
Office dated the 25th January 1898 asking
for certain particulars as to the date of
commencement and termination of service in the Gold Coast
Statistical Department. In that letter it was
stated that service in the Gold Coast
commenced on the 4th January 1887
and ended on the 30th June 1891.
