I am writing to request that you be kind enough to follow the instructions that I am about to give, with the utmost urgency and care, as my professional reputation is at stake.
I have been engaged in a matter of great importance, and I have fully deliberated while all those involved were doing their part. I am now compelled to say that it is necessary to destroy the copies of the Report of Natural Calamity which have been distributed, as they contain damaging and false information that could harm my character and reputation.
As Registrar during the last 8 years, I have done my duty to the best of my ability, and I have defended the post with integrity. However, since my departure, there has been animosity and spite against me, and I fear that this report will be used to further damage my reputation.
I have stated the facts clearly, and I hope that you will understand the gravity of this matter and take immediate action to destroy the copies of the report. I am confident that anyone going carefully through the whole of this matter will see the necessity for this action.
I would be grateful if you could treat this matter with the urgency it deserves, and I hope that I will be pardoned for any seeming impertinence in making this request.
