I have the honour to address you with regard to one of the most barefaced cases of conspiracy that has come to my notice in recent times, especially considering the official positions held by some of the parties involved in it and the part they took in it.
I was the intended victim, and doubtless it would have succeeded had it not been for the hint that was conveyed to me privately by one who knew what was taking place. The conspirators would have gained their object, which was to prevent any credence being given to the complaints I had against the Chief Justice and the Puisne Judge, and also that I should have left the Colony and been unable to produce documentary evidence.
Right Honourable
