With reference to your letter of the 17th of November last, No. 46876, and the reply from this Office of the 24th of December, relative to the postal relations between this Country and China, I am directed by the Postmaster General to send herewith, for the consideration of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, a copy of correspondence on this subject which has been received here from the Foreign Office.
The telegram from Sir E. Satow of the 28th of October last mentioned in this correspondence has not been communicated to the Post Office; but reference is made to it in the Colonial Office letter mentioned above.
