It follows therefore that Mr Wood's appt. & pay while holding the post of Registrar, Land Court has already been reported & acquiesced in,
but we should ask as to his being allowed to draw triple pay for 3 months in 1902 while he was acting as well Police Magistrate • a bag over the lag, ahht betting Registrar, aby over that no doubt accidentally omitted in the encls to 242722.3
Similarly the tempy. appts. of Messrs. Wolfe & Ross as additional Registrar are satisfactory explained in par 5 of 9527, they were allowed to draw the full pay of passed cadet plus the full allnce. and practically sanctioned dest, on 2153/00, & it was not $1200, was by LAVA whire half the pay of passed cades pins half the pay of the appt. wd have been sufficient pay, it was not rally w aver.... since acting but a tempy appt., I the two half pays wd. have given the officer $9058.20 less than we sanctioned on 21513/00.
Similarly I think that the allice aLo secretary of the Board, wh. was to Mr Ross. Aquatters Board., plus his full pay. aud only $1200 passed cadet, though in form irregular, was Justifiable Dor the analogy of 21513/00.
The last case on the list where as sanctioned in Mr Kemp drew $200 instead of $100 a month. 3598/00-1 as acting Police Magistrate, a new ava because in the interval we sanctioned the creation of a appt. of Second Police Magistrate with full pay of $4,800 a yl, and the fact that he drew also full pay impassed cadet was in accordance th the rule then in force (see 50455/02) wh. we have since amended to ask you. ? simply Therefore at A above, & observe as ao to Mr Wolf's prativity of $200 as in last par of ca celled i raft hereon, Texplain 5a.o.
