Your telegram of the 2nd instant.
It is estimated that after meeting any but extraordinary Government requirements mints can coin annually 50,000,000 dollars, Straits and British together. 600,000 British dollars can be coined weekly, in addition to present Straits dollars demand of 900,000 fortnightly.
British dollars demand can be probably fully met, notwithstanding priority other demands, but definite understanding cannot be given.
