The Acting Governor of Hong Kong made his award in this case in accordance with the law of the Colony and in all the circumstances Mr Chamberlain is unable to advise Your Majesty that that award was improper. He submits, therefore, that Your Majesty should decline to give any directions in regard to this Petition.
