I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 3rd instant No 28167/03 transmitting to us a copy of a despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong regarding the proposed dam for the new Tytam reservoir.
2. We referred the matter to Mr Osbert Chadwick and I beg to enclose, for the information of Mr Secretary Chamberlain, a copy of his report.
3. In order to save the mail we are forwarding a copy to-day to the Government of Hong Kong.
