Simpson's proposals for the medical inspection of shipping and junks have been considered by the Local Government Board, who state that they have no objection from the point of view of the Venice Sanitary Convention to the arrangement of the Hong Kong practice in regard to the Prevention of the Spread of Plague, in accordance with the suggestions made in the report.
The recent alterations should therefore be made in the Quarantine Regulations of the Colony.
