With reference to your Despatch No. 258 C.Q. 3080 of the 20th ultimo, I have the honour to inform you that I am unable to recommend the grant of any charitable allowance to Mrs. Murray. The grounds upon which her claim is based are not in my opinion of such a nature as to justify an application to the Legislative Council.
