Adverting to our letter of 12th. July,
1900, and the reply thereto No. 645 of 21st. July, 1900, and
referring to our interview of yesterday, I have the honour to
inform you that my Company having purchased the Houses on H.H.
I.L. Nos.67/71, (Crown Lesses for which we are prepared to
surrender) is now desirous of acquiring a portion of the roads,
comprising the Eastern end of Bulxley Street, and Hill Street,
as shown in pink on the plan left with you.
This ground is required for purposes con-
nected with our Blectric Power Plant, and as we are most
anxious to have the same installed as soon as practicable, (say
in the course of a few months) I shall feel greatly obliged if
you will give this matter your early attention.
