3.

Ultimately the Dock Company wish to ac-

quire and are at present negotiating for the entire area shewn

by the dotted black lines on the plan which accompanied the

letter of the Chief Manager of the Dock Company. This will

involve the closing and sale to the Company of further por-

tions of Hill Street, Market Street, and Bulkeley Street, and

I have now to ask for your general authority to sell them the

necessary additional portions on the same terms as in the

present case as soon as the Company applies for them.

4.

I recommend that the term of lease of

the portions of Streets which I now propose should be leased

to the Dock Company he 75 years with the usuel option of re-

newal for an equal period at a re-assessed Crown Rent. The

leases of the adjoining private property which the Company

has acquired are for 75 years. The Crown Rent should be at

the rate of 7600 an acre.

I have the honour to be.

sir,

Your most obedient

Humble servant,

Amay

Officer

Administering the Government.
