Supreme Court,
hongkong, September 21st., 1903.
sir,
With reference to C.S.0. No. 5365/1908,
and His Excellency the Governor's minute of 10th. instant there-
on, i beg respectfully to enquire when the report of the Com-
mission of Enquiry on the Registry will reach me. I have cotain-
ed my leave: but of course as stated it is out of the question
my leaving the Colony before I know the report, having regard to
the fact that a combined effort has been made to damage my
reputation locally.
2.
in reference to other correspondence of
mine, viz:- a 2nd. letter dated August 28th., regarding Mr.
Sharp, K.C., a member of the Commission of Enquiry interfering
with my department without my permission and sending in papers
to the Chief Justice, which had been cotained by Mr. Jones,
Deputy Registrar, unknown to me, and Mr. Jones allowing a
stranger to have access to my records; Endly. a letter of mine
dated Srd. September on the increase of revenue in my depart-
ment and in silusion to the Honourable Mr. Thomson, the Colonial
treasurer, and 3rd. a complaint against his honour the Chief
Justice dated September 16th., for corresponding with my subor-
dinate, Fr. Seth, instead of with myself or his clerk
having
received no acknowledgment of these matters I trust they were
duly received and considered.
3.
The delaying of the issue of the Report
is making my position in my office unbearable and it is a matter
to which I beg most respectfully to call the attention of his
Excellency the Governor.
the Honourable
The Colonial Secretary.
I have etc.,
(3d.) J.W.Norton Kyshe,
Registrar.
