have been Attorney-General and Chief Justice and have acted for
10 months as Colonial Secretary (in 1891) during my service of
between 13 and 14 years in Hongkong 1 am happy to say I am not aware of having had any unpleasantness with anyone, except Mr. Kyshe, nor am I aware of having been accused of discourtesy by any other person. My relations with all my brother officers
have been of the most cordial character.
