It is but right to say that in the after-

noon Mr. Kyshe came to my room to apologise and wrote me the

letter which I annex, and that he came again this morning to

express his willingness to apologise.

if this had been a matter between private

individuals and the apology had been made as publicly as the

attack upon me I would have accepted the expression of regret.

But this is a matter in which the position of the Chief Justice

is concerned and this is not the first time Mr. Kyshe has been

most disrespectful in his bearing to me and I feel I owe it to

future Chief Justices who may have similar experiences from

this gentieran to place the matter on record by submitting it

to Your Excellency.
