cost of supervision etc., in laying the system. It is calculated that the total cost to owners will on the average be $30 approximately per house. This will include the salary etc.. of an Assistant Engineer to be engaged at home to superintend the work which is one of considerable magnitude and for which there is no Officer available. I shall forward a requisition
for this Officer in due course.
5.
Section 16 of Ordinance 29 of 1902 has not
been re-enacted in this Ordinance. The expenditure on and
revenue from the Waterworks are kept in a separate account at the Treasury, and there appears to be no sufficient reason
for the section.
